Boone County AARP
The Boone County Chapter AARP will meet on Tuesday, December 4th at 1 p.m. at Park Ave. Rest., Danville. Our Christmas Dinner is ‘dutch treat’ with each member ordering from the menu. Members may invite a friend for this meeting. Patsy Nelson will tell a Christmas story. Every member should plan to attend this meeting. Everyone is asked to bring items that can be used for bingo prizes at the Boone Nursing Home.

The Boone Co. Assn. Retired School Employees (BCARSE) will meet on Dec. 19th at Park Ave. Rest. at 10 a.m. The program will be a celebration of the Christmas season. Dan and Jenny Light will present the musical program. All members plan to attend this time of food, fellowship and sharing of musical talent. Jeanine Castle will present the devotional.
Nellis Neighborhood Watch meeting
Neighborhood Watch meeting is scheduled for Nov. 27, 2012, at 6 p.m., at the Nellis Church/Archives Building.
Annual Community Christmas Party
The Appalachian Center for Independent Living, Inc. that serves persons in Boone County is inviting everyone to join us on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at the National Guard Armory in Charleston to celebrate its 12th Annual Community Christmas Party.
