Mahone Chapel United Methodist Church


The United Methodist Women of Mahone Chapel United Methodist Church at Ashford has begun its annual Easter Egg candy fundraising project.


Flavors available are peanut butter, smoothies, coconut, maple nut, cherry nut, and orange. The cost is $1 for small, $2 for 1/4 pound, and $3.50 for 1/2 pound. Suckers in various Easter patterns are 25 cents each.

Revival


The will be a revival at New Hope Baptist Church, Wednesday through Friday, March 13-15. Dr. Larry Brown will be preaching each service. He started and then pastored Marion Ave. Baptist Church in Washington, Iowa, for 38 years. He has preached in conferences across America and many foreign countries.


Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from this man of God. The church is located 2 miles south of Madison on Rt. 85. Pastor Ray Barker invites everyone to attend these revival services.


Revival


There will be a revival at the Greenview Community Church, Monday, March 11 through Friday, March 15 at 7 p.m. each night. The speaker will be Brother Larry Napier and there will also be special singing each night. The church invites everyone to attend these revival services.


Special Service


There will be a special service Sunday, March 10, at 2 p.m. at Whiteoak Freewill Baptist Church in Orgas. Troy Campbell of Simons Creek/Belle will be preaching and “In His Name” will be singing. If you need a ride, call 304-837-7626.


12 Steps to Living Free


A “12 Steps to Living Free” addictions classes are scheduled at the Fountain of Life Worship Center on Thursdays at 7 p.m. For more information, contact Trena Dingess at 304-784-0841.


Tops


Tops (Take off pounds sensibly) meets every Thursday at the Fountain of Life Worship Center in Rock Creek. The entrance is on the left side of the building. Weigh in is from 5 to 5:30 p.m. Tops is a non-profit weight loss support group open to men, women and children seven years or older. There is a yearly membership fee. Games and incentives are used weekly to motivate weight loss.


Cookbooks


The American Baptist Women’s Ministries of the Coal River have cookbooks for sale to raise money for mission purposes. The books are $10 each and contain over 400 recipes. For personal enjoyment or thoughtful gifts, these books may be purchased at the following Baptist churches: Amy, Fork of Coal, Olive (Julian), Racine, Danville or Madison.

There are a limited number of books being printed. Call now to take care of your holiday gift-giving, bridal showers and appreciation acknowledgements. This is such an economical price for such a treasured gift and the proceeds will serve the needed missions.

Greenview Church of Christ

The McCorkle Freewill Baptist Church Crisis Committee invites everyone to participate in our “Community Nursing Program.” The program takes place he third Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at McCorkle FWB Church multipurpose room.


An RN will be available to the congregation of the church, community and surrounding communities to take your blood pressure, check your blood sugar, explain “the VIAL OF LIFE” (essential information to keep on hand), and explain Medical Power of Attorneys or Living Wills.
