Jimmy Darrell Dingess, 71, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., formerly of Lincoln County, passed away unexpectably Thursday, March 21, 2013.
Born on February 19, 1942 Lincoln County to the late James Junior and Lula Morline Linville Dingess. He is survived by his wife, Susan Robinson Dingess, daughter, Jane A (Kent) Neal, son, Erick (Stephanie) Dingess, stepson, Christopher (Jada) Cavallaro, Grandson, Wyatt Neal, step-granddaughter , Lilianna Cavallaro. Sisters, Janice Sue (Arlin) Thompson of Goodyear, AZ, Joyce A Vanbibber of St. Albans,WV, Linda L Holton of Branchland, WV, Barbara G (Raymond) Cummings of Hamlin, WV, Loretta Asbury Madison, WV, Rebecca (David) Dean of Branchland, WV. Brother, Robert L Dingess of Hamlin, WV, 13 nieces and nephews, 28 great nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Moringside Church, Port St Lucie, Fl.; Class of 1959 Duval High School.
Jim was retired after working at FMC and working at his own business.
From the time he was able to ride one he has always had a motorcycle. He lived life and loved to travel.
He and Susan traveled the US and Germany on their motorcycle. If they took the motorhome, the motorcycle was pulled in a trailer on the back. Harley was his choice to ride most of the time. He rebuilt Antique Indian. One of his finds, a Triumph with sidecar built in England for the German Army before the war was on at display at a museum in Daytona Beach, Fl.
His wife, children, grandchildren and family was very precious to him.
Jim’s wish was to be cremated.
