WEST MADISON – There are other hair, nail and spa businesses in the area, but have you ever been to one that offers a hot stone manicure?
West Madison Hair, Nail & Spa recently opened and offers more than just traditional manicures, pedicures and haircuts. It offers a variety of services and personal hygiene treatments.
“It’s been a long road to opening this business, but we offer services and treatments not found in most hair, nail and spa businesses,” said owner Larry Blethen.
Blethen’s wife, Shena, is a Charleston School of Beauty graduate and says manicures and pedicures are not just a matter of fashion these days.
“Now it is considered as a symbol of personal hygiene, health and status,” she said. “Good looking hands and feet are always attractive to everyone. That is why there are so many different types of services available here.”
The spa also offers treatment of dry and cracked skin, waxing, haircuts and hot stone treatments.
“Our hot stone therapy is used with various essential oils that are rubbed with the help of hot stones,” she explains. “It relaxes the muscles and helps with all type of pains and soreness in the body.”
There are many manicure, pedicure, message and other services and treatments for men as well as children.
The new business is located at 324 Third Street in West Madison, between the Madison Middle School and the grocery story. It hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
“It is best to make an appointment, so there is no wait, but we do also accept walk-ins,” Shena said.
