MADISON — A 2-year-old boy was in serious condition Monday, June 10, 2013, after he was found in a family swimming pool in Boone County, it was reported last week.
According to previously published reports, the Madison Police Department Chief Chet Burgess said the incident occurred about 4:30 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2013, during a swimming party at the home of the child’s grandparents.
The child apparently came out the back door of the home and got into the pool, Burgess said. Family members pulled the boy from the pool.
An ambulance happened to be in the area when the emergency call was made, and the boy was picked up by the crew and was transported to the hospital within seven minutes from the time the call was received.
The boy’s name or no other details have been released.
