Gospel meetings

A gospel meetings are set for Sunday, Sept. 20, through Thursday, Sept. 24, at the Uneeda Church of Christ in Uneeda, beginnning at 7 p.m. each evening.

The speaker will be Joseph Watts from Alum Creek Church of Christ in Alum Creek.

Van Church of God

Pastor Evangelist Patricia Smith will be having a singing convention Sept. 26 at 2 p.m. right behind the Van Fire Department.

Singers include Gary Dickerson, Tammy Holstion, Jamey Kirk, Sandra Kay and the Van Church of God Singers.

After the singing, there will be hotdogs, BBQs, sweets, chips, coffee and pop.

Spencer Chapel in Hewett will be hosting a revival Oct. 12-16 starting at 7 p.m. each night.

Preaching will be Barney Goins and different singers nightly.

Gospel sing

There will be a gospel sing at Orgas Community Center on Sept. 26, 2015, starting at 5 p.m., featuring Hilda Carr Perry, WOAY TV 4, The Francis Family, Greg Treadway & Andy and The Gospel Connection.

Everyone is welcome to attend, so bring a friend. Refreshments will be served after the sing.

Heart of God Soup Kitchen

Heart of God Soup Kitchen is operating a soup kitchen on the last weekdays of the month, providing free USDA food to those who qualify.

They are located at 44 Millier Street in Danville in accordance with federal and USDA policy, which strictly prohibits discrimination in all of its programs.

Prayer Connection Lighthouse

Prayer Connection Lighthouse in Danville is accepting donations of clothing, canned goods, furniture and garden foods.

Monetary donations can also be mailed to P.O. Box 159, Danville, WV 25053.

They also need volunteers from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
