Brookview Gift Card Bingo
Mark your calendars for Brookview Elementary School’s gift card bingo on Thursday, Nov. 5, starting at 6 p.m.
Cost is $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Concessions will be available.
Please come support the 5th grade class. Tickets are available in the school’s office.
Racine CEOS Club
The Racine CEOS Club will be having its annual “Fall Bazaar” on Saturday, Nov. 7 at Racine Volunteer Fire Department from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
They will be selling hot dogs, baked goods, potatoe and macaroni salads, baked beans and drinks. Also craft items will be available for sale.
We will also have rummage items for sale, excluding clothes.
The “Quilt of Hope” will also be displayed for donations. All proceeds go to West Virginia Breat and Cervical Cancer Screening Program (WVBCCSP).

Boone PSD meeting
The Boone County Public Service District will hold its regular monthly Water and Wastewater meeting on Monday, Nov. 9, 2015 at the board office.

The Water Board meeting will open at 6 p.m., prevailing lime, followed by the Wastewater meeting at its board office in room 101 oflhe Danville Community Center, 731 Hopkins Avenue in Danville for the following purposes: Water Agenda: Approval of Invoices and Line Extensions. Wastewater Agenda: Approval of Invoices and District Operations.
Public service annoucement
The Food Handlers Classes will be held at the Public Health Building, located near Danville, just off the Lick Creek Road.
Dates and times are as follows: Monday, Nov. 9, 2015 from 2 to 6 p.m.
Please note that under State Law any person(s) that is involved in the preparation or service of food for public is required to attend a certified food service training course. The card will be a state wide card and a fee of $10 is required. The course will be conducted by Sandra Giles, Boone County Sanitarian.
Foster Neighborhood Crime Watch
Foster Neighborhood Crime Watch will have a holiday meeting on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015 at 7 p.m. at the Foster Community Center. Everyone is welcome and refreshments will be served.

Start your Christmas shopping early with locally made arts and crafts at REV UP Madison’s Arts & Craft Fair, Saturday, Nov. 28, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Madison Civic Center.
Delicious concessions available and door prizes given, bring a non perishable food item and receive additional door prize ticket.
Don’t forget about SHOP SMALL on the same day to support our locally owned small businesses on Main and State Sts, look for SHOP SMALL blue logo in the windows, great discounts and prizes.
The Madison Civic Center will be open for indoor walkers, Monday thru Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Secret Santa applications are currently being accepted at the Boone County Community Organization office located at 347 Kenmore Drive, Lick Creek Road (behind the Health Departnent).
If you receive any amount of SNAP benefits you automatically qualify for Secret Santa for children 12 and under. Bring your SNAP card and SS# numbers for everyone in the household. If you do not receive SNAP benefits bring proof of monthly household income and a formulary will be used to see if you qualify.
The deadline to apply is Friday, Nov. 6, 2015. No applications will be accepted after this date.
Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair
REV UP Madison’s annual Christmas Arts and Craft Fair is Saturday, Nov. 28 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., start your Christmas shopping with beautiful arts and crafts from local vendors.

After shopping at the arts and craft fair go to businesses on Main and State Streets in Madison and participate in “Shop Small Day.”

Scrip and coin collectors
The National Scrip Collectors Association will be holding their fall 2015 Coal Mine Scrip Show and meeting at the Charleston Civic Center on Saturday, Nov. 7.
Dealers will be coming to buy, sell and trade old coal mining artifacts, including coal mining scrip, early mining lamps and hats.
The public is invited to attend free and there is no admission fee.
If you have coal mining artifacts, you can bring them to the show for an apraisial. The show will be held in Romm 104, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

There is no admission fee and dealers will come from several states to buy, sell and trade coins, stamps, jewelry, ball cards and coal mine scrip.
