WV Coal queen to compete

Former WV Coal Queen Amber Biel of Charleston will compete for the title of MISS WEST VIRGINIA USA the weekend of October 10th & 11th , 2015. The competition is being held at the Days Inn & Suites Conference Center in Flatwoods.

Amber represented the WV Coal Festival earlier this year at the West Virginia Association of Fairs and Festivals pageant where she placed top 15 out of 84 contestants.

Amber is the daughter of Josh and Erica Strother She is studying secondary education with a specialization in English at WVU. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering with children’s events, reading to elementary school classrooms, and participating in feeding programs that help those in need. One interesting fact about Amber is that she loves fashion and enjoys creating unique looks with makeup.

Amber is sponsored by the Craigsville Fall Festival and Cheer One All Stars.
