Dominion Hope Gas donates $10,000 to BMH Capital Campaign

The new $34.3 million hospital will have 25 private patient rooms, pharmacy, chemo and IV therapies, the latest in radiology, surgery suites and expanded endoscopy rooms, lab, physical therapy, expanded emergency room services and more.


Dominion Hope Gas recently presented Boone Memorial Hospital (BMH) with a generous contribution of $10,000 in support of its efforts to raise funds for new medical equipment, which will be purchased for its new facility.

The new hospital is scheduled to open in May of 2016.

This donation coupled with their reputation for engaging in public service and community involvement demonstrates the fact that they are great corporate citizens. We thank them for their commitment to BMH and our community,” said Virgil Underwood, CEO, Boone Memorial Hospital.

Dominion is one of the nation’s largest producers and transporters of energy, with a portfolio of approximately 24,400 megawatts of generation, 12,200 miles of natural gas transmission, gathering and storage pipeline, and 6,490 miles of electric transmission lines.

Dominion operates one of the nation’s largest natural gas storage systems with 928 billion cubic feet of storage capacity and serves utility and retail energy customers in 14 states.

The West Virginia gas distribution company is known as “Dominion Hope.”

The new Boone Memorial Hospital, located in Madison, West Virginia in Boone County will replace the already existing 51 year facility.
