RACINE – The Boone County Ambulance Authority (BCAA) Board of Directors met Thursday, February 16 at 6 p.m. at the BCAA office for their monthly meeting.
In light of the recent resignation of board president Josh Barker the board made a motion for Kevin Hill to step into Barker’s unexpired term.
A motion was then made by the board that Fred Harless step into the position as vice president for the unexpired term.
There were several items on the agenda for Thursday’s meeting to be discussed.
The minutes from the previous meeting were approved by all board members.
There were no individuals present for public comment.
BCAA Director Bryan Justice presented the board with January 2017 call volume. There were 341 calls during the month. The busiest times were between 4 p.m. and midnight.
New cardiac monitors were on the agenda to be discussed.
Some of the monitors the BCAA have now are old and will be able to be trade-ins on newer ones.
The board asked that Justice get all the specifics on the trade-in of the monitors and what the BCAA would owe after the trade-in and bring back to the March board meeting.
The budget/finance report was also discussed at the Thursday night meeting. The collections for January 2017 were good. At this time the BCAA is approximately $400, 000 ahead of last year’s collections.
