Van native graduates from Army Basic Combat Training
Army Private James “Jay” H. Justice has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, South Carolina.
During the nine weeks of training the soldier studied the Army mission history, tradition and core values, physical fitness and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marched and field training exercises.
Justice is the son of Mark and Crystal Justice of Danville, grandparents are Harold Price of Bim, James and Janet Justice of Madison, and Wayne and Karen McCray of Bim.
Justice has also completed his AIT training in Fort Eustis, Virginia and is now a helicopter mechanic. He is now stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
Justice is a 2012 graduate of Van High School.
