MADISON – Thomas James Medina, 50, of Jeffrey, was sentenced to prison Wednesday, May 9, 2012, in Boone County Circuit Court.
Medina was charged by Deputy R. B. Dotson in 2010 with the Delivery of Hydrocodone following in investigation going back to October 2009.
In 2009, police used a confidential informant to buy hydrocodone from Medina for $20.
Following his arrest an indictment, Medina pled guilty to delivering the hydrocodone to the informant.
Medina was originally placed on probation by Judge William S. Thompson.
In April 2012, prosecutors sought the revocation of Medina’s probation for various violations. Following a hearing Wednesday, May 9, 2012, Judge Thompson agreed with prosecutors and ordered Medina’s probation revoked.
Medina was sentenced to state prison for up to 5 years.
