Boone County Fair hosts ‘Baby Contest’

DANVILLE — The weather cooperated for the BCF Baby Contest and the rains held off until after the contest was completed Monday, July 30, 2012.

The new fair board members and officers were happy with the event despite the low attendance. This year’s event only had five competitors in it, and fair board officers and members are already planning on how to improve for next year’s event.

Ava Morris came out as this year’s Boone County Fair Baby Contest winner. She competed in the 36-47 month category.

The fair continues today starting at 4 p.m. and lasts through Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at the Lick Creek Fairgrounds in Danville. Visit the fair for a complete schedule of events.
