Whitesville has annual spring clean-up

WHITESVILLE -- The Town of Whitesville had its annual spring clean-up on April 20, 2013. The town collected 60 bags of trash along with several dump truck and pick-up truck loads of trash. The Boone County Commission loaned the Town a dumpster to place all of the collected trash in, the County Commission is always good to help with this project in any way they can. Several residents made good use of the dumpster the county provided bringing in stuff by the trailer loads. “I feel this was a successful event and the Town of Whitesville looks better and cleaner,” said A.J. Driver. “I would like to thank all who came out and donated their time and effort for the project. I would also like to thank the Boone County Commission for helping the Town with this project.” Present were: Mayor Freddy Harless, Council Member Susan Grubbs, The City crew for the Town of Whitesville Danny Vanoy, Nathan Joseph, Chuck Aliff, Resident Denny Ferrel and Arthur Gene Jarrett III who is 10 years old also helped out with the clean up as well.
