Scott baseball team takes first game of sectionals over Chapmanville MADISON -- It took four days to play the first game of the Class AA sectional tournament between the Chapmanville Tigers and the Scott Skyhawks.
But in the end Scott defeated the Chapmanville Regional High School baseball team 5-4 on Thursday night in Game 1 of the sectional tourney at Madison.
The game was a continuation of Monday's contest which was suspended in the third inning due to rain with Chapmanville leading 2-0.

Hunter is turning the Tide for Sherman SETH – It has been 23 years since Sherman High School has sniffed a West Virginia State Championship game. The Tide fell to Independence High School in the Class AA Championship game in 1990.

Browning signs with Pikeville University MADISON — A Scott High School star athlete has signed to continue her softball playing career at Pikeville (Kentucky) University.

Lady Skyhawks lose heart-breaking extra innings game in sectional finals to Chapmanville DANVILLE - In one of the most exciting sectional finals history, rival girls' high school softball teams Scott and Champanville squared off in a rubber match third game to decide the sectional championship Thursday evening at Lick Creek Park.
