Scott falls to H. Hoover

HHHS only led 11-10 after one quarter and 25-20 at the half, but outscored Scott 21-9 in the third quarter and fought off a comeback by the Skyhawks in the final quarter to pull away with the victory.

FALLING ROCK – Herbert Hoover downed visiting Scott 59-48 at home on Tuesday, Jan. 19 to improve to 8-2 on the season.

The Huskies are currently ranked No. 12 in Class AA, just outside of the top 10. The win also improved Hebert Hoover’s Cardinal Conference record.

Tanner Bell led the Skyhawks with 16 points, while Patrick Underwood added 12 for Coach Nick Cabell.

HHHS only led 11-10 after one quarter and 25-20 at the half, but outscored Scott 21-9 in the third quarter and fought off a comeback by the Skyhawks in the final quarter to pull away with the victory.

Scott outscored the Huskies 19-13 in the final quarter, but couldn’t get over the hump.

Matt Justice led HHHS with 16 points, while Chase King had 16 for the Kanawha County squad.
