MASON, W.Va – The Lady Skyhawks of Scott earned their second victory of the season with a convincing 40-15 victory over Wahama on the road. Kicking off the game on a 10-2 run, Scott was led by quick buckets by sophomore Emily Foley which set the tone for the Lady Skyhawks transition game.
Leading 16-6 at halftime, Scott turned on the jets scoring 12 and 13 points in the third and fourth periods respectively while holding Wahama to nine points in those periods.
Scott (2-0) was led by Foley’s 15 points and eight rebounds. Brooke Burns netted eight points and eight boards, Diana Birchfield had seven, Sarah Mayse had six and Mary Boggess and Allison Mathews had a bucket each.
Wahama was led by Maddie Vanmeter’s five points.
