SETH, W.Va – Sherman High School Senior and football QB Bailey Kirk signed a letter of intent Tuesday, February 21 to play football at Alderson Broaddus University (AB) as QB in the fall while majoring in nursing.
Bailey Kirk said, “It’s one of those things you never put much thought into or ever really thought it was actually going to happen.”

Bailey Kirk’s parents RheAnna and Roy Kirk as well as his younger brother Alex Kirk were by his side as he signed the letter of intent.
Baily Kirk’s mom RheAnna Kirk said, “I am proud of him but it is hard letting go.”
The Sherman High School football team, coaches, principal and cheerleaders were also in attendance for the signing.
Michael Showalter Sherman High School head coach said, “Things happen to good kids and he is a great kid. He has worked for this. It is not something that has been handed to him.”
Sherman High School Principal Todd Barnette said, “You have to be consistent and disciplined and have a goal. Bailey has had that his entire high school career.”
“It speaks volumes the support he has had from his mom and dad,” said Barnette.
