By God’s amazing grace Loretta (Peters) Hutchison, age 78, was set free from a long battle with illness on Saturday, February 5, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She left this earth as she had lived, with dignity and grace. She was a four time cancer survivor and was referred to by her doctors as a miracle. She was born in Garrison, WV on September 22, 1932 and graduated from Sherman High School in Boone County, WV. She married her only love, Lee in 1950 and traveled the US while he was active duty in the US Air Force. Upon retirement in 1969 they chose Glendale, AZ as home. In 1983 they moved to a home outside of Wittmann, AZ to enjoy the quiet desert. She became a very active member of the Wittmann Assembly of God Church where she led the children’s ministry and was always helping the needy. After Lee’s death in 1992, she was lovingly coerced to move back to Glendale to be with her large family. Her greatest joy came from her love of the Lord, her children, grandchildren and her beloved dog Reilly. Our dear friend, Pastor James Russell provided her with spiritual counseling when she was no longer able to attend Lighthouse Church. She is preceded in death by parents John and Virginia; sisters Lahoma, Ada and Kathleen; brothers Clifford, John, Sanford and Albert; her dearly loved grandson Eddie and the love of her life, husband Lee. She is survived by her five children; Greg (Jeanne), Ed (Lisa), Mitch (Bev), LeAnn (Will), Stacie (Tony); brother Bob, sister Bea, brother-in-law Alden and sisters-in-law Hope and Linda; 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. With such a large family, she was still able to make each one feel loved and special. She was truly a gift from God and a blessing to all who knew her. Services will be held at Lighthouse Church, 14185 N. 83rd Avenue, Peoria, AZ, Friday, February 11 at 11:00 AM. The procession will be led to the Veteran’s Cemetery, Cave Creek Road, Phoenix where she will be laid to rest with her true love, Lee.
