Linda Jean Eller
Linda Jean Eller (nee Pauley), 71, of Brook Park, Ohio went home to be with the Lord Saturday, July 2, 2011. Born October 9, 1939 in Boone County, West Virginia.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph Sampson and Viola Powell Pauley. Beloved wife of Lee Eller for 53 years; dear mother of Catherine, Lee (Lynda), and Robert (Kathy); loving grandmother of Sarah, Jason, Steven, Daniel, Jeffrey, and Matthew; sister of Lettie Faye Stollings, Christine McClanahan (Darrell), Carol Carlson (Gene), Ruben Pauley (Mary), Phillip Pauley (Barbara), and Drema Swimm (Keith); dear aunt and great-aunt of many. Linda was also preceded in death by brothers Brady, Dallas, Hurston, Dennis, Junior, and Richard; and sisters Erna and Naomi.
Funeral Services were held at UNITY FREEWILL BAPTIST CHURCH, 6658 Fry Road, Thursday, July 7 at 11:00. Interment Woodvale Cemetery.

Richard S. Baldwin

Richard S. Baldwin, age 72 of Tulsa, Oklahoma, died June 19, 2011 at his home after a battle with cancer. He proceeded in death by his parents Clarence (Caddy) and Reba Baldwin of Hewett, W.V. Richard attended Scott High School before entering the US Army where he served overseas as military police. He was a retiree from American Airlines and an active member of Tulsa Akdar Shrine. He survived by his wife of fifty years, Helen (Dotson) Baldwin, three children Lesa Baldwin, Sapulpa, OK., Doug Baldwin, Kellyville, OK., Scott Baldwin and wife Mary Lynn, Fort Gibson, OK., and four grandchildren, Dustin, Jennifer, and Leighton Baldwin. He is also survived by one brother Danny Baldwin, Madison, W.V, four sisters, Barbara McKinney, Owassa, OK., Susie Straight, Lancaster, OH., Sharon Blankenship, Hudson, FL., and Jerrianne Baldwin, ME, and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services were performed June 23, 2011 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. Final resting place is Veterans Field of Honor, Floral Haven Memorial Garden, Tulsa, OK.


Iva Virginia Currey
Iva Virginia Currey passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2011.
She was born near Julian in Boone County in 1927. The oldest of 12 siblings, she devoted her life to helping her family. She was married to William Earl Currey, "Bicycle Bill," in 1943 and helped Bill as he built a thriving bicycle business for the next 50 years. Her devotion to family and helping others in need became a passion, which she pursued until her demise.
Iva was a wonderful and nurturing mother to her children and a lifelong mentor for her nine surviving younger brothers and sisters. A beautiful woman both inside and out, she spent her life caring for others.
She had a natural charm and independent streak that, coupled with her beauty, made her unique and special to everyone she met.
Iva was a loving mother, not just to her own children, but to the many children who she helped raise in her home. She cared deeply and gave her love and attention to others in an unselfish manner all of her life.
Iva's parents, Edith (Bartram) and Nile Justice, preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Gene, Fredrick and Paul Justice; sisters, Audrey Kirby, Mary Elizabeth Knouse and Julia Ann Thomas; and grandchild, Jerrid Thomas.
She is survived by her son, William R. Currey of St. Albans; two daughters, Linda Pickern and her husband, Paul, of Plant City, Fla., and Jerribeth Fisher and her husband, Jerry, of Cross Lanes; brothers, Jerry Justice of Orrtanna, Pa., and Daniel Justice of Charleston; and sisters, Oma Bailey of Oak Hill, Ruth Ankrom of St. Albans and Jeannette Showers of Biglerville, Pa. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, 409 Sixth Ave., St. Albans, with Pastor Jamie Bailey officiating. Burial was in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
A celebration of life followed the funeral at the Coal River Group's Currey River Center, Meadowood Park, 118 Pettigrew Lane, Tornado.
The family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Alzheimer's Association WV Chapter, 1111 Lee St. E., Charleston, WV25301.

Connie Jean (Penix) Walker, 45, of Racine died June 30, 2011, at home.
She was a former employee of Papa John's Pizza and Days Inn in Kanawha City.
She was preceded in death by a brother, David Walker; nephews, Little Shawn McNeely and Brad Allen Rhodes; and sister-in-law, JoAnn Morris.
Surviving: husband, Troy Russell Penix of Racine; sons, Joseph (Cara Estep) Parker of Campbells Creek and Tyler James "T.J." Parker of Racine; stepdaughter, Charity (Brian) Bragg of Bloomingrose; parents, Frank and Henrietta Carr Walker of Marmet; sisters, Linda Walker of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Wanda Walker of Clarksburg and Lisa McNeely of Chesapeake; stepgrandson, Quincy James Bragg of Bloomingrose; aunt, Janie Roe of Nitro; and nieces and nephews, Eli and Emma McNeely of Chesapeake, Scotty Belcher and Laura Walker of Charleston and Brittany Lewis of Hinesville, Georgia.
Funeral was at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet, with the Rev. Robert Elliott officiating. Burial followed in Montgomery Memorial Park, London.

Luther Lee Toney
Luther Lee Toney, 71, of Branchland was born June 22, 1940, in Leet, and died Thursday, July 7, 2011, in Cabell County.
He was a loving husband, father and forever friend. He had lots of CB buddies, and to them he was Black Eyed Pea.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Patterson and Rhoda (Lovejoy) Toney Thompson; sisters, Tilda Dotson, Jean Stowers and Kizzie Dotson; stepsons, Lonnie Rodney Curry and Dennis Gene Pauley; and grandson, Christopher Lee Cornell.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Virginia Annalee (Cornell) Toney; sons, Luther Ray and Sheila Ann Toney, and Stanley David Toney, both of Branchland; daughter, Doris Ellen and Ray Oliver Pauley Jr. of Scott Depot; sisters, Elmie of Madison, Beulah and Larry Holley of Hamlin, Arbutus and Denzil Cooper of Ohio, and Rosie; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2011, at Curry Funeral Home, 2097 Childress Road, Alum Creek. Burial followed in Cross Creek Cemetery, Buffalo.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made toward the funeral service.
