An Ashford man was killed in an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) accident Sunday evening, according to a report from the Boone County Sheriff's Office.
According to reports from the scene, the crash took place Sunday at approximately 7 p.m. on Emmons Road, near Ashford.
George Andrew Milam, 29, from Ashford, was operating his newly purchased, side-by-side ATV when he attempted to spin the vehicle in a mudded area, the police report stated.
The ATV caught on firm ground, where the vehicle overturned, throwing the Milam out of the vehicle, where the ATV landed on top of him, the report said.
There was a passenger in the ATV with Milam, who was uninjured, the report added.
Even though seatbelts were installed in the seating of the ATV, reports indicate they were not used during the crash. Alcohol or drugs were not involved in the accident, according to police.
Dep. J.A. Weagel is investigating the accident.
