Betty Gillenwater Dunlap, 64, of Sumerco, went home to be with the Lord, on Feb 3, 2009, surrounded by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by husband, Billy; parents, Wilkie and Ella Gillenwater; brother, James Gillenwater.

She attended Morning Star House of Prayer at Ridgeview.

She is survived by her sons, Billy (Lisa) and Frederick (Nancy) both of Yawkey, Alvie (Mary) of Nitro; daughters, Alice King and Belinda (Chris) Smith both of Pine Grove; four grandchildren, Amanda, Mike, Chris, and Riley; step-grandson, Curtis; brothers, Darrell and Kenny Gillenwater; sisters, Helen Steele, Ruby Sandt and Janet Estep; and many friends.

Funeral service was Feb 6 at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, with Pastors Barry Meadows and Frank Chapman officiating. Burial will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery, Sumerco.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any memorial contributions be made to the funeral home.
