Ronald Mack “Ronnie” Parsons, 56, of Oceana, WV passed away Tuesday September 29, 2012 at his home.
He was born May 20, 2012 in Clay County, WV a son of the late Virgil and Evelyn “Rita” Bolen Parsons. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Diana Kay Ellis Parsons; a brother Roger Parsons; a sister Ruby Louise “Hall” Parsons, and a granddaughter Carly McComas.
He was a disabled coal miner and a member of the UMWA.
Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters Rhonda (Donald) McComas of Griffithsville, and Jennifer (Chris) Sutphin of Hewett; his fiancé Stephanie Dixon of Lynco; five grandchildren Jayden Mitchell, Aubree McComas, Nathaniel Sutphin, Gavin Sutphin, and Caden Sutphin; a sister Susan Parsons and fiance Mitch Simpson of Lynco; three brothers William “PeeWee” (Debi) Parsons of Oceana, Dallas (Loretta) Parsons of Sunhill, and Scott (Jodi) Parsons of Clear Fork; two sisters-in-law Charlotte Jeffery of Jeffrey and Corky Parsons of Lynco, and a host of other loving family and friends.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Friday October 5, 2012, at Joseph Baptist Church, Lynco, WV with Pastor William Cook officiating.
He was laid to rest in Ellis Cemetery, Hewett, WV.
