DANVILLE -- A rollover crash Wednesday near Danville killed one person and injured another, according to reports from the Boone County Sheriff’s Department.

Investigators said Andrew Hale was driving a Ford Ranger south on Corridor G around 10 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, and lost control of the vehicle. The truck apparently rolled over several times and ejected Hale and his passenger, Danny Hatfield.

Dispatchers reported that Hale was flown to Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) General.

Hatfield was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the accident, but think that Hale may have fallen asleep while driving and believe that either man was not wearing a seatbelt.

Corridor G was closed in both directions for more than an hour. The road has since been reopened.
