Mahone Chapel United Methodist Church


The United Methodist Women of Mahone Chapel United Methodist Church at Ashford will hold a Hot Dog, Bake, and Yard Sale on Saturday, Nov. 3. The yard sale will include Christmas decorations and an assortment of books among other items. The sale will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the church’s Activities Building.


Advance orders for hot dogs, which will cost $1.00 each, may be placed by calling the church at (304) 836-5852 on the day of the sale. Proceeds from the sale will benefit various church projects.

Ball Chapel Community Church


Ball Chapel Homecoming - Sunday November 4th at 10 a.m. Preaching by Dean Sparks and singing by The Gospel Tones Tradition.


There will be a Revival at Ball Chapel Community Church in Jeffrey, WV, Nov. 5th thru Nov. 9th, starting at 7 p.m. nightly. Preaching by Jeff Mosteller and Singing by: Monday - The Meeker Family; Tuesday – Redeemed; Wednesday - Wings of Peace; Thursday - The Grimmett Family; and Friday - By God’s Grace.


Food Pantry at Amazing Grace Fellowship


A USDA Food Pantry will be at Amazing Grace Fellowship at 12730 Coal River Road in Seth. There is food giveaway the third Saturday of every month, Monday through Friday, from noon to 4 p.m.

Free After School Food Program


The Amazing Grace Fellowship “The Rock” announces the sponsorship of the USDA food program. In accordance with federal law and US Dept. of Agriculture (USDA) policy, this institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.

The Rock a free after school program will serve meals Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Thursday and Fridays from 3 to 4 p.m. and a snack from 5:30 to 6 p.m. On Wednesdays, we will serve the snack from 3 to 4 p.m. and supper from 5:30 to 6 p.m.


Madison Christian Center


Madison Christian Center, located on Lincolyn Ave., Old Pool Road, will have an inside Yard sale November 1 & 2 and hot dog sale on Nov. 2.


Prayer Connection Lighthouse


The Prayer Connection Lighthouse, across from Medicap will have their 24th Homecoming on Nov. 4th at 10a.m. The Dominion Trio will be in concert.


Gordon Missionary Baptist Church


Gordon Missionary Baptist Church Women’s Ministry will hold a hotdog, BBQ and bake sale at the church on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, starting at 10:30 a.m. There will be homemade chili and slaw, pop, chips and homemade baked goods. Please come out and support our ministry.


Bias Branch Youth Group


Bias Branch Youth Group will have Tracy Miller (Picture Me Photos) on Nov. 3, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Package deals start as low as $20 and up. Pass The Blessing


If the Lord has blessed you, help us bless others…Greenview Community Chu8rch will be taking clothing donations. The clothing may be of any size. Donations can be dropped off at the Greenview Community Church on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, from noon until 4 p.m. If you need for your donations to be picked up, please contact Jessica at 304-369-1655.


Clothing give away will be held Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Greenview Community Church, all clothing is free, but there is an admission fee of 2 cans of food. The cans of food will be used in the holiday food baskets.


Jeffrey Church of God


The Jeffrey Church of God will have a hot dog sale on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012. There will also be BBQs and baked goods. For more information, call 304-369-5421.


Camp Creek Gospel Tabernacle


Camp Creek Gospel Tabernacle will be having a revival starting Oct. 31 through Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. Brother Michael G. Smith of Ravenswood and Brother Jeff Mosteller of Six Mile will be preaching. There will be special singing each night, including Friday night Dunbar Church Camp Choir.

Whiteoak Freewill Baptist Church in Orgas Oct. 31 through Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. with Danny Gilfilen, Evangelist. Gordon Union Church has made Apple Butter and prices are: pints $5 or quarts $8.

Cookbooks


The American Baptist Women’s Ministries of the Coal River have cookbooks for sale to raise money for mission purposes. The books are $10 each and contain over 400 recipes. For personal enjoyment or thoughtful gifts, these books may be purchased at the following Baptist churches: Amy, Fork of Coal, Olive (Julian), Racine, Danville or Madison.

There are a limited number of books being printed. Call now to take care of your holiday gift-giving, bridal showers and appreciation acknowledgements. This is such an economical price for such a treasured gift and the proceeds will serve the needed missions.

McCorkle Freewill Baptist Church


The McCorkle Freewill Baptist Church Crisis Committee invites everyone to participate in our “Community Nursing Program.” The program takes place he third Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at McCorkle FWB Church multipurpose room.


An RN will be available to the congregation of the church, community and surrounding communities to take your blood pressure, check your blood sugar, explain “the VIAL OF LIFE” (essential information to keep on hand), and explain Medical Power of Attorneys or Living Wills.

Tops


Tops (Take off pounds sensibly) meets every Thursday at the Fountain of Life Worship Center, Rock Creek. The entrance is on the left side of the building. Weigh in is from 5 to 5:30 p.m. Tops is a nonprofit weight loss support group open to men, women and children seven years or older. There is a yearly membership fee. Games and incentives are used weekly to motivate weight loss.


Guiding Light F.W.B. Church


The Guiding Light F.W.B. Church at Rock Creek would like you to come and be with us at our church services at 10 a.m., Sunday School and Church at 11 a.m.; Wednesday night at 6 p.m. Pastor Calvin Jackson welcomes everyone to attend these services.
