Skyhawks go into holiday tournaments undefeated on the season

The Scott Skyhawks boys basketball team remained undefeated at 6-0 on the season with a thrilling 50-49 overtime win at home over Sissionville.


Logan Webb made 1-2 from the line with 1.8 sec left in overtime to go up 1. #33 from Sissonville hit the front of the rim on a 3/4 court shot at the buzzer.


Matt Dolan led the Skyhawks with 22 points.


The game was moved to Scott’s home court due to the natural gas explosion in Sissonville recently.


Early in the week, Scott moved to 5-0 on the season with a big win over Wayne, 80-52..


Dolan netted 19 points for visiting Scott, while Cody Brown chipped in 15 points and Eric May 14.

In other boys high school basketball action:


• VALLEY 86, SHERMAN 56: Cody Winter and Zac Warden tallied 17 points apiece to pace the host Greyhounds. Raeshawn Breckenridge donated 10 points for Valley (2-0), which led 46-28 at the break.
