Ron Stollings, right, wears a lot of hats—physician, state senator, Rotarian, community leader—but he put on his senator hat last Thursday when he spoke to the Madison Rotary Club concerning the recent action taken by Congress to avert a so-called ‘fiscal cliff’ crisis. He explained what the passage of the various parts of the agreement would mean to the average citizen. He also talked about issues facing the upcoming 2013 state legislature as lawmakers prepare for a new session. Senator Stollings, who represents Boone and several surrounding counties, is chairman/and or member of several important legislative committees. His program was introduced by his friend and fellow Rotarian, Dr. Joe Atkins, left.
