A word of gratitude from the fire departments of Boone County
by Fred Pace
Thank you and you’re welcome. In the November General Election, the voters of Boone County once again showed their support for the eight county fire departments by passing the Boone County Fire Levy. This levy is the primary source of income for all eight departments. Without this levy in place, obtaining the necessary funds to perform the duties as you’ve grown to expect would be nearly impossible.
Over the years, with compounding regulations, restrictions, oversight and mandates, it has become more and more expensive to operate a volunteer fire department. Through your support, the fire departments within Boone County will be able to continue to operate.
Thank you, voters of Boone County for supporting your local volunteers.

Boone County Firefighter’s Mutual Aid Association
