Boone County Commissioner Atholl W. Halstead was sworn in to the board of ENACT, formerly Multi-Cap, during the Jan. 29 regular session of the Boone County Commission. The commission also heard an update from the Boone County Soccer Club and from Resolve Family Abuse, which is looking for space in the new judicial annex or at the courthouse. The commission also approved the hiring to two new part-time 911 employees, Christopher Barrett and Craig Long. The next Boone County Commission meeting is scheduled to start at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 5, on the third floor of the new judicial annex behind the Boone County Courthouse.
