On February 3, 2013, Marion H. dear wife of Johnnie for 54 years passed after a brief illness. She is survived by her beloved children Beverly Richards and spouse Harry, Shawn and spouse Rebecca, George Brown IV and spouse Joan and Arlene Cole spouse of Marion’s late son Barry.

Mrs. Thompson was a devoted grandmother and enjoyed spending time with the children, Brenda Elliott, Christopher, Griffin and Shelby Thompson, Roy Cole, Laura Fusto, Craig, Todd and Troy Richards, Robert Brown, Tanya Trent and the late Jeffery Cole.

She was also known affectately as “grandmom” to Brenda Elliott and “Nana” to Dene’ Bowen.

Her love and legacy is extended to her great grandchildren, Sara, Jacqueline, TJ, Evan, Zachary and Erica Richards, Jessica McLouskey, Chelsea and Marcie Cole, Christian, Maria and Ginna Fusto and Sophie and Daniel Brown.

Marion is great great-grandmother to Jayden Daly.

Born to George Thompson and Faye Cavey she was sister to the late Edna Gilliss.

A 50 year resident of Glen Burnie, her interest included Volunteer service with the North Glen Improvment Association participating in Bingo and Little League Concessions. Marion actively donated her time at American Legion Post 109 where her husband is a member, hosting childrens parties and supporting Johnnie.

Reading was a passion for Marion especially James Patterson novels and she also enjoyed trips to Ocean City, Md., shopping T.V. and Pinochle; her greatest love however was being with children.

Viewing and visitation were held on Tues, Feb 5 from 7-9 PM, Weds, Feb 6 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Fink Funeral Home, 426 Crain Hwy S at 5th Ave in Glen Burnie, where services were held on Thurs, Feb 7. Interment: Loudon Park Cemetery.
