Donald Ray Elkins, Sr., 77, of Chillicothe entered Heaven Feb. 27, 2013 at Adena.

He was born Jan. 3, 1936 in Ranger, W. Va., the son of the late Romie and Louisa McCoy Elkins. He was also predeceased by his wife, Karen (Mead) Elkins; brother, Jimmy Elkins and son-in-law, Howie Payne

Surviving are his children, Donald (Tammy) Elkins, Paula (Ray) Lawrence, Sandi Payne, William Todd Elkins, Mathue Elkins, all of Chillicothe, Linda (Eddie) Burns of Gallagher, WV; sisters, Charlotte (Roger) McCormick and Yvonne (Wallace) Skeens and Billie Elkins; 19 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

He was the owner of D& K Bait shop for over 33 years, retired Kenworth employee and was a Korean Army veteran.

Funeral services were Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home in Kingston. Burial followed in the Springbank Cemetery.
