Tracy Thompson, 78, of Danville, passed away May 7, 2013, at Boone Memorial Hospital, Madison.
He was born April 25, 1935, and was a son of the late Walter and Emily Dotson Thompson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Sue; brother, Troy; and sister, Barbara Elkins.
He was a retired systems engineer for American Airlines and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He loved riding motorcycles.
He is survived by two sons, Russell Thompson and Jason Thompson; two sisters, Lillian (Malloy) Miller and Shirley Inman; three brothers, Raymond (Mildred) Thompson, Roger Thompson and Jerry Thompson; and grandsons, Robert Joseph “R-Jay” and Chase.
Services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, with the Rev. Frank Chapman and the Rev. Ernest Ford officiating. Burial followed in Family Gardens, Madison.
