Local kids participate in fishing tournament

The Annual Kid’s Fishing Tournament sponsored by the Lincoln County Commission, Sheridan Bass Club, and the Lincoln County Crime Watch groups was held on Saturday, June 1, 2013. The tournament participants number 144 this year, the largest turn out so far. Kids came several surrounding counties to test their fishing skills for the Most Fish; The Smallest Fish; and the Biggest Fish in three age categories.


WINNERS:


Age Group - Most - Smallest - Biggest


Under 6 - Bryndon Midkiff, 11 Jake Eden, 3” - Emily Plumley, 14.75”


7-9 - Megan Williams, 12 - David Miller, 2” - Tierra Collins, 17”


10-14 - John Blankeship, 17 - Justin Pauley, 3” - Dalton Holestin, 20.25”


After the kids were treated to pizza, sodas, chips, and snow cones, ‘door’ prizes were awarded. In total 54 prizes were given away including fishing rods, tackle boxes, water bottles and $5 bills.
