This quilt was donated by Bill Heaberlin and his team at MPE Entertainment to honor four individuals for their exemplary service, dedication, commitment and leadership in creating and operating both the West Virginia Coal Festival and the West Virginia Coal Heritage Museum for over two decades. Their generous support has added immensely to the quality of life and appreciation of the history of the coal industry, benefiting residents of Boone County, the state of West Virginia and all who visit here now and for generations to come. From left, Larry Lodato, James “Jimbo” Clendenen, Delores Cook and Joy Underwood are perfect examples of the best of West Virginia. We all owe them eternal gratitude and appreciation for a job well done.
