DANVILLE – To celebrate its 80th anniversary, the Boone County Fair Association has announced that country music star Jason Michael Carroll will be one of the featured musical acts during the fair.
The fair will start on Wednesday, July 24, and continue through Sunday, July 28, according to fair officials.
Carroll will take the stage on Saturday, July 27, starting at 9 p.m., with fireworks after the show.
Carroll is an American country music artist. After being discovered at a local talent competition in 2004, Carroll was signed to the Arista Nashville label in 2006, releasing his debut album Waitin’ in the Country that year. The album featured hits songs like “Alyssa Lies” and “Livin’ Our Love Song.”
On Friday, July 26, “Phoenix Stone” a rising country singer takes the stage at 8:30 p.m.
The fair parade will be on Saturday, July 27, starting at noon.
The fair will also feature carnival rides all week and kids games. Arm bands will be $15 each day.
The fair will have its old-fashion tradition with quilts, crafts, vendors, food and other types of fair events, including “Best of Show” ribbons with special anniversary dates.
There are vendor spaces still available at the cost of $60 for four days.
